We understand that navigating the complex world of international trade can be challenging, which is why we have outlined the different trade terms used in our business, such as EXW, FCA, FAS, FOB, CFR, CIF, CPT, and CIP
EXW-EXWORK
Our responsibility is the preparation of goods, packaging, and delivery of the goods to the agreed upon location.
The buyer’s responsibility is to receive the goods, provide internal transport, arrange for external transport, and obtain necessary documents for export.
FCA-Free Carrier
The seller is responsible for preparing goods, packaging, loading goods onto a vehicle at the agreed upon location with the buyer, and obtaining necessary documents for export.
The buyer is responsible for receiving the goods from the vehicle, completing import procedures, and arranging for transport to the final destination in the importing country.
FAS-Free alongside Ship
Our responsibility is the preparation of goods, packaging, providing the buyer with requested documentation of the goods, delivery of the goods to the agreed upon wharf, and completion of export procedures.
The buyer’s responsibility is to receive the goods alongside the ship, complete import procedures, and arrange for transport to the final destination in the importing country.
FOB-Free on Board
Our responsibility is the preparation of goods, packaging, delivery of the goods on board of the ship in the port of export, providing the buyer with documentation on the goods, and completing export procedures.
The buyer’s responsibility is to receive the goods on board of the ship, complete import procedures, and arrange for transport to the final destination in the importing country.
CFR-Cost and Freight
Our responsibility is the preparation of goods, packaging, completion of export procedures, contracting with a transportation company and paying for external freight (air, sea, land) to the arrival port in the importing country, and providing the buyer with documentation on the goods as soon as possible.
The buyer’s responsibility is to agree to receive the goods at the export port, receive the goods from the carrier at the arrival port, complete import procedures, and arrange for transport to the final destination.
CIF-Cost Insurance and Freight
Our responsibility is the preparation of goods, packaging, completion of export procedures, contracting with a transportation company and paying for external freight (air, sea, land) to the arrival port in the importing country, contracting with an insurance company and paying for insurance on behalf of the buyer, and providing the buyer with documentation on the goods and the insurance policy as soon as possible.
The buyer’s responsibility is to agree to the seller’s insurance for the goods, receive the goods at the export port, receive the goods from the carrier at the arrival port, complete import procedures, and arrange for transport to the final destination.
CPT-Carriage Paid
Our responsibility is the preparation of goods, packaging, contracting with a freight company to deliver goods to the agreed upon location in the importing country, delivery of the goods to the carrier, completion of export procedures, and providing the buyer with transport documentation as soon as possible.
The buyer’s responsibility is to receive the goods at the export location, receive the goods from the carrier at the arrival location, complete import procedures, and arrange for transport to the final destination.
CIP-Carriage and Insurance Paid to
Our responsibility is the preparation of goods, packaging, completion of export procedures, contracting with a transportation company and paying for external freight (air, sea, land) to the agreed upon location, contracting with an insurance company and paying for insurance on behalf of the buyer, and providing the buyer with documentation on the goods and the insurance policy as soon as possible.

DAF-Delivered at Frontier
Our responsibility: Preparing goods, packaging, delivering to the agreed upon location, completing export procedures, and providing documentation to the buyer.
Buyer’s responsibility: Receiving goods at the agreed upon location, unloading from the vehicle, storing, completing import procedures and shipping to final destination within importing country.
DEQ-Delivered ex Quay
Our responsibility: Preparing goods, packaging, completing export procedures, delivering to destination wharf, and providing documentation to the buyer.
Buyer’s responsibility: Receiving goods at destination wharf, completing import procedures and shipping to final destination.
DES-Delivered ex Ship
Our responsibility: Preparing goods, packaging, completing export procedures, delivering on board ship in destination port, and providing documentation to the buyer.
Buyer’s responsibility: Receiving goods on board ship in destination port, unloading from the ship, completing import procedures and shipping to final destination.
DDU-Delivered Duty Unpaid:
Our responsibility: Preparing goods, packaging, completing export procedures, delivering to agreed upon location in importing country, and providing documentation to the buyer.
Buyer’s responsibility: Receiving goods at final delivery location, unloading from the vehicle, completing import procedures.
DDP-Delivered Duty Paid
Our responsibility: Preparing goods, packaging, completing export and import procedures, delivering to agreed upon location in importing country.
Buyer’s responsibility: Receiving goods at final destination, unloading from the vehicle.
